And we wanted a boot that let these artists, rebels, and visionaries from all backgrounds feel comfortable doing their thing. You can don your own Rio Grande corded cowhide boots in Irish Wake, Cherry Cola, or Snowpocalypse and show the rest of us what it’s like when we follow our own intuition and create the world around us we feel inside.

Built to last: A ¾ Goodyear welt, full leather toe and leather heel counter give you years and years of wear
Made with sole: A comfort insole with cork footbed plus leather midsole and outsole make Alvies boots easy on your feet
100% leather: Cowhide upper (vamp, counter, shaft, and lining)
Well heeled: Stacked leather heel, hard EVA middle lining, non-slip rubber bottom
Well toed: ¾” snip toe

Handmade in León, Mexico

Alvies boots and leather flip-flops are made by one of the oldest and most respected bootmakers in León, the bootmaking capital of the world. History fact: León has been a shoemaking hub since 1645. Many of the bootmaking OGs in our ethical factory have been crafting boots by hand for decades. They use traditional methods and are paid a fair wage for their skills.

Alvies Kicks Back: Jackie Venson

Jackie is a gifted musician, songwriter and guitar phenom who has taken the music world by storm with her electric live performances and original sound. A classically trained pianist who took up the guitar in college, she has since been named Best Guitarist in Austin and one of Guitar.com’s Most Exciting Young Guitarists.

Jackie has chosen to support E4 Youth with every Rio Grande sale as part of Alvies Kicks Back. The organization helps find and nurture creative talent from under-represented groups including people of color and women, offering portfolio-building opportunities, internships, education and career guidance.

Gorgeous boots!
I only buy handmade, higher end cowboy boots, and these are probably ranked in my top 3 favorite pairs that I have. I stumbled upon this company by chance and I am so glad that I did! These boots are buttery soft with beautiful stitching details along with the most comfortable footbed I have ever worn. There was zero breaking in needed for these. From the first wear, it felt like I had already had them for years. I can’t say enough good things about these babies. So in love. I just wish they made more styles. I would definitely be buying others if they did!

Sleekly Elegant!!
Great looking boots and as always with Alvie's, so very comfortable. I had to order a half size larger in order to get my foot all the way down into the boot so the actual foot is a tad bigger than I would like, but I can adjust with thicker socks. Did not have that particular issue with the Guadalupe's I ordered.

Rio Grande Boots are beautiful
my husband bought these after I saw his pair of boots .He told me how he loved the feel of the boots so much That I told him that I wanted a pair and now that I have them I loved them.LOOKS good and feels great.Did i mentioned that this is the third pair of boots that we have perchased along with a set of his and hers flip flops.love my ALVIES
