i notice one other guy wrote a review and asked Alvies to make a male version of this boot. well, i went ahead and bought the women's version.

the reason being that i prefer a 2" heel Western boot, which is nearly impossible to find in men's. most being 1.75", if you believe their stats. so i rolled the dice with this incredible looking boot. i also noticed Alvies states their boots are made with slightly larger toe areas for ez breakin, so that made it a bit less of a dice roll.

i don't recommend other guys doing this unless you have a narrow foot as i do...normally taking a men's 'D' size (which is actually a medium). i scoured the net to make sure the conversion size was 1.5 sizes higher for women's to men's, and ordered the 11.5 (i take a 10 in Cowboy boots normally).

these are amazing boots. the style is every bit what i'd hoped for from the photos. does NOT look like a woman's boot on me, just a very classic Western boot, which Alvies clearly designed them as.

aside from pulling this off, and loving the style, i also own top other brand Western boots, such as the famous 'L' brand. Alvies are every bit as well made, well styled and superb as those top brands.

the toe is a bit snug, but no more so than some of my men's Western boots from major brands, which always stretch out with use. so i am looking forward to these lasting a lifetime (they are built that way) and looking good doing so.

These boots are absolutely beautiful and so well made! They are heavy but fit my foot well. The only problem I had was my ankles hit right where the decorative stitching and seam is and that was uncomfortable. My feet are flat and ankles aren’t aligned like most people’s, so this was probably just an issue for me. I so loved them and wanted to keep them but because of this discomfort, I had to return the boots. The return was easy, free and simple. I highly recommend this company!

I love these boots! Well made, quality materials, comfortable (after Customer Service told me about the plastic bag hack—At first, I couldn’t get my foot in past the ankle, I thought I needed larger or wider size. Luckily I emailed customer service before I did anything only to be asked to try something first—she told me to try putting a thin plastic bag over my foot….IT worked and fit great once in all the way. She also explained that a cobbler could stretch the leather at the tight area if need be and linked me to short video explaining this procedure. Highly Recommended!!
