To keep your Rickshaw Python Skin Boots looking gorgeous you will want to give them the care they need. Snakeskin is known to be a fragile leather so it is important to keep your boots out of the sun, store them in a temperature controlled environments, and do not suffocate them in plastics.
Be sure to take care of your Rickshaw Python Boots while you're wearing them out and when you're not wearing them at all, and your boots will last a lifetime. In order to care for them, follow the instructions below and you shouldn't have any problems:
- After each wear, use a soft, damp cloth to clean dust or dirt from your Rickshaw Python Boots. Dampen a cotton cloth slightly with plain water, then wipe in the direction of the scales for deep cleaning. Snake scales are water resistant, so soap products and excessive water will run off the scales and be absorbed. Too much water and soap can cause Python to dry out, resulting in the scales to curl backwards. Plain water is all you need to clean the boot.
- Use a soft sable brush to remove any dirt or dust from beneath the scales. Be careful not to lift the scales when using a brush.
- Keep your Python Boots in a place that is cool and dark. UV light can be harmful to snakeskin and will cause them to dry out and the scales to curl. Any extended exposure to heat and cold will dry the skin. Try to keep your Rickshaw Python Boots in your Rickshaw Box if you really want to ensure best results and care.
- Apply exotic conditioner (we like Bickmore Exotic as our python conditioner of choice) if you wish to condition your Rickshaw Python Boots. Be sure that whatever conditioner you choose is meant to be used on snake skin. Snakeskin conditioner needs to be a very light conditioner.
